Benmore Distillers (Dallas Dhu) dumpy brown bottle, spring cap, rolling mountains label
I had to work hard to get a decent sized sample of this and I liked it but not as much as I was hoping.
2 weeks ago Whisky Antique had this bottle for sale for over 1500 euro, incredibly it looks like someone has purchased it, wow, I know this is old, but not worth that sort of huge sum
Nose
Nice nose, like the last one a world away from new blends, I can also detect the grain element, certainly a nice cereal note, not as expressive as the White label spring cap I had before this.
A hint of banana, pear and green apple skins but it’s faint.
Taste
Fizzy, some banana, hints of Lucozade, cereals, something slightly gritty, it seems to grow in power.
Finish
Gets a little sweeter, but losing a bit of power. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |
