Diageo has unveiled its Special Releases 2020 line-up, this years highlights includes a Pittyvaich expression from the now long closed Speyside ghost distillery, a rare Dalwhinnie matured in refill hogshead casks filled in 1989, a unique young Talisker which has been finished in pot-still Caribbean rum casks and the Special Release stalwart Lagavulin 12 year old.

The Talisker is tempting given its price even though not cheap for an 8 year old, I would guess there will be plenty to go around as they haven't revealed bottle numbers so perhaps I will wait for some reviews and let someone else pay to find out if it is good or not |

Also tempted by this too, mainly because I want to see what Cardhu is like when it's not compromised by low ABV, caramel colouring and the like. But then I'm not sure I want to overpay for a Cardhu just to see what it's like. Decisions... |

Talisker for me. I’ve somehow got a host of them from 2005 onwards which isn’t a bad thing. |
