Hi
I’ve been watching reviews on this whisky on you tube and they all describe it as a no age statement whisky.
I have had one delivered today and it states 13 yrs old has this changed recently and is there any difference between the two.
Also how does it stand up against similar blends in your opinions |

I know it launched as a no age statement blend in travel retail and slotted it in between the Chivas 12 and 18, I haven't come across it with an age statement on it so it must be a recent thing although it confirms the age that I would have suspected it to be. In comparison to the standard 12 I found it ok, bigger vanilla toffee notes, pear and cinnamon spice, basically as I expected it to be, I cant say if it has changed now they seem to be stating an age of 13 years on it. |

I did see the new box but didn’t give it a proper look, on the Sainsbury’s website it also says 13 year old, I enjoyed it to be honest, it’s a bit strange if it’s the same drink, give us the age statement any time . |

I think they came out the back end of 2019 as a 13 year but there were different finishes, American Rye, Rum cask, Oloroso finish and tequila cask.
Not tried the new ones but I thought the old one was one dimensional & boring , the 12 is better. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |
