Am I the only person who doesn’t see the magic in monkey shoulder? I admit that as a rule I prefer single malt but I did try monkey shoulder and I don’t see what all the fuss is about . I found copper dog a better blend with better flavours. |

We have to remember what the monkey is, it’s not supposed to beat the £30 plus single malts, I’ve never bought a full bottle but had loads of miniatures which was bought for me and at time of trying them I found it fruity and spicy and will do a good turn for certain people, had plenty of ok nights on it. |

I always thought of it as an easy enough drinker that is mainly aimed at the trendy bar mixed drinks and premium cocktail market. In fact my bottle I have in the cupboard usually only gets poured for visitors who insist on having a mixer with there whisky |

Having only every tried it as a miniature I'd suggest there are better options for equal or less. Even single malts. |

I just feel that it’s underwhelming but a lot of you tube reviews really give it higher ratings than it deserves |

Come on cobra give it another chance, don’t think it’s there to blow you away and there’s a time to try it for that bit of difference, as said i agree on the price comparison to certain single malts, a question for you! How much have you tried on the monkey?

I thought it was ok the last time I had it, not exciting but not too bad. , there will of course be many batch variations with something like this. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |

The first bottlings I couldn’t really fault especially at the £25 price point. It’s a good introduction to blended malts |
