Ok guys have you bought any bottles during the covid 19 lockdown
I have bought these have any of you tried these
Jura red wine cask
Glenfiddich fire and cane
Glen mo 10 tried and enjoyed
And I know it’s not a single malt but Woodford reserve bourbon but I’ve not had any bourbon so I thought I’d give it a try

I saw the Jura Red Wine Cask 1L in Sainsbury's for £30...sounds like a good deal so let me know how it is!

I've purchased a few to keep me going:
Jura 'Water' 12 Year Old 2007 - Old Particular Elements Collection (Douglas Laing)
Ardbeg 10 (can never have enough of this)
Lagavulin 9 (Game of Thrones)
Invergordon 10 Single Grain

I'm definitely having a few more drams than normal.

Bruichladdich black art
Glenlivet 25 decanter
Scapa 16 as they don't make it anymore.

All for my collection, but, been dramming on a dalwhinnie 15 and a glenkinchie 10.

Paid £245 for it through Amazon. Most places are looking for over £300, so felt I better jump before it shoots up any further.
As I said it's going into my collection , it'll stay there a while.

Nice dram. Was thinking about getting one at the last auction I was looking at but it went for 140 in the end and I dropped it as thinking the price was getting too steep.

Probably should have looking at some of the retail prices.

I personally preferred the now gone Jura 16, the new 18 has a bit of harshness about it which you shouildnt find in a whisky this mature and perhaps the red wine finish was to try cover it up and smooth it out, don't get me wrong it isn't a bad whisky but for the asking price I wanted better.
