I will no doubt grab a bottle as long as the price isn't insane.

Plus the delivery, so over a tun.

For a NAS, wine dipped Ardbeg.

Pass.

Dipped would be finished, surely.

I'm game, this sounds decent.

As a relative whisky noob (5yrs taking it seriously) I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever buy an Ardbeg committee release. It seems to be an easy outlet for them to milk cash from fans by just chosing some fancy finish and dumping young whisky out there at a premium price.

Ah well, if it's helping them keep the cost of the sublime 10yr below £48 rrp and £38 sale then it's ultimately a good thing I suppose! :D

Dunno, I've been very disappointed in the last few committee releases. If I was going to spend that on a special release big name bottle I'd be looking at the Talisker 15yo, it's age stated, cask strength and with delivery from Ardbeg will work out at around a similar price. And the last Talisker release (the 8yo) was incredible.....

As much as I hate Diageo it shows you the difference out there. One age stated and no sully cask messing and the other NAS with questionable cask play. I though Ardbeg had reached the limit of silliness when they did Ardbog (bog oak heads), although that was a nice whisky. I always wonder what cask they'll dig up next.

I just don't get it. They've been playing the low stock card for years now, LVMH have owned Ardbeg long enough to have decent aged stock, clearly deliberabley restricting output to keep their crazies crazy. I dropped out of interest with them long ago.

I got in with no issues after a short wait. Best experience of recent frenzied Committee Release years.
