|
|
Hi all,
I am trying to decipher the marks on the bottom of the whisky bottles. Some are obvious but perhaps you could help me with figuring out this one?:
https://ibb.co/bXj5nrd
This is from a bottle of JW Double Black
From the top and going clockwise:
700ml - Bottle volume
C1 - ?
76mm - ?
2997 - ?
AGC - Bottle manufacturer (Allied Glass)
JW - Brand (Johnnie Walker)
And then what is the "22" in the middle? Lots of bottles have a number like this (even non whisky)
Any help greatly appreciated!

AFAIK these markings simply refer to the type of glass, size and style of bottle and are not really a reference to the whisky in the bottle anything about the whisky is usually printed on the label or laser printed somewhere on the side of the glass bottle. For example have you measured the bottle and is it either 76mm wide or deep. |

Thank you!
Any idea what the big number in the middle is with the line underneath it? |
