I have been periodically looking for Japanese single malts and Japanese vatted malts here in Ontario, Canada. I took a drive to a LCBO whisky shop about an hour's drive from my home and low and behold, I picked up 2 bottles of Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt 43% ABV, NAS, a vatted malt which incidentally is Jim Murray's pick for best Japanese whisky of the year in his 2020 Whisky Bible. Anyone try it? Comments? Cheers. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

A bit late here but I've just finished a bottle. Lovely drink imo and for around 65 quid I'll be getting another.
How are you/did you enjoy yours? |
