Hopefully not too vague a request. I'm planning on starting NC500 tomorrow and will stop at one distillery tour. Im hoping to pick up a bottle maybe something special for the future. I'm a fan of Balvenie, Clyneish and Glen Dronach but enjoy trying new ones when I can.
Any recommendations? Best tour or distillery that might have something unique on offer? |

You're off-season so recommendation number 1 is to make sure they're open.
Of the 3 you mention, Glendronach is the most likely to have a distillery exclusive in the 'special' category I would think.
You could try Tomatin right at the very start of the NC500. Or Old Pulteney as the furthest North you may pass.
Enjoy the trip! _________________ Inverness Whisky
