Originally a 1930's take on the whisky industry, now re-released with notes from Ian Buxton to accompany and update the text.
Well written and a really interesting read particularly with Ians contributions and also the debate over age statements and transparancy! Given this was written around 1930, not a new opinion.
As to be expected his views do somewhat reflect the age in which he lived, however as with alot of these books I find the historic information does challenge the view of the past so cleverly marketed to us now.
Good read and worth buying if you see it. |
