Here's a new one at the LCBO in Ontario:

Release Date:August 22, 2015
700 mL bottleAlcohol/Vol46.0%Made in:IrelandBy:Glendalough Irish Whiskey LimitedDescriptionThe first release from the newly founded Glendalough craft distillery. Expect a sweet-edged, floral, citrus and spice-accented nose with a malty, oaky and citrusy palate.

Anyone try this one?

That's a new one to me, haven't heard of it but I know there has been a few Irish craft distilleries sprouted up in recent times.

I see that they have a Glendalough 13 year old also, I don't think the distillery has been producing for that long or even 7 years for that matter. The Glendalough website fails to mention that they haven't been around long and that they are bottling whisky produced elsewhere and labelling it Glendalough single malt. A good chance that it was produced somewhere like Cooley.

The rules for Irish whiskey seem to be quite slack compared to the rules for Scotch.

Was looking at the 7 year old Porter finish having just finished a bottle of Jameson's stout cask finish which I loved but at nearly £50 seems pricy for a seven year old. Possibly brewed elsewhere.

The 13 yo Mizuno also sounds interesting not something you see often but again quite a hefty price tag. Anybody tried either?

Glendalough remains hard to get in the States. It's found mostly in the NE.

Still looking for the 7 or the 12. Hopefully it might hit some shelves here for the holiday season.
