Good call. Goes to show how much prices move when Amazon is back up to £73.94 now. |

Spotted this on in TWEs offers for ££37.85 https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/p/47922/peat-whisky-and-chocolates-bundle actually not too bad a price considering what you get, the bottle of Elements of Islay’s Peat whisky, a decent tasting glass and some chocolates, I just dropped a Valatines day hint to my good lady as I haven't tried this Elements of Islay’s Peat blended malt |

Have you reviewed this, William? Their website mentions four different types of cask used - do you know if it was actually full-term maturation in PX, virgin and red wine casks? |

It is a combination of four types of cask: bourbon barrels, virgin oak, Pedro Ximenez and red wine casks. Each matured for 21 years in its respective cask then vatted together to create this whisky but I cant say what percentage contribution each of the four types of casks made as they did not reveal that much detail. I can say that this is a good offer, I don't think you will see this whisky discounted like this very often so I thought it was worth mentioning here. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Thanks, it was indeed worth mentioning. As tempted as I am I think I'll have to stay sensible - I had after all said in the Distell thread that I had spent my whisky budget for the month, and there will no doubt be a lot of whiskies to buy over the next two months. |

Glen Scotia 15 is now £49.95 (also the same price on Amazon). It's not a huge discount, but it's a good price for a good whisky nonetheless. |
