How does the Stiureadair compare to it? Might be a while before the 12 comes back at £30. | A nice sherried fruitcake side to it, I prefer the 12 year old personally if given the choice, but the Stiureadair is not too far behind it in quality. |
Cheers Fergie. They're both up about the £40 just now on Amazon but I'll keep an eye open. Plenty other stuff to work through just now |

The Glen Moray is bottled at 46% and the Blair Athol at cask strength, which at £37.99 strikes me as an amazing deal - not sure where else you can find cask strength malt of that age at that price.

But it’s Blair Athol and to me, just tastes like Bells which is its main component. |
I've had good Blair Athols, there was a recent 10 year-old from James Eadie that was very good indeed. At that price I'm definitely taking a punt on the BB&R one from Amazon. |
As it happens it scored a sample of a Blair Athol 23 yesterday. It was a very good dram but the bottle had been open for 9 months and a lot of the raw burn had dissipated. |

The Blair Athol just arrived and I can confirm it actually is that colour I had assumed there was poor lighting or some other kind of optical illusion! |

Haven't opened it yet, it joins a backlog of bottles to be opened! I'll post my impressions when I do, though it might be after the offer has finished. |

For those on a budget, Tamnavulin Double Cask is now £17, and the Sherry Cask £23.20. |
