The Teeling Whiskey Company has unveiled the Silver Reserve 21 year old, the first release from its new Vintage Reserve Collection of very old and rare Irish Whiskeys.
Distilled in 1991 and matured firstly in Bourbon casks then allowed to marry in Sauterne wine casks
The first bof 3 releases, The Vintage Reserve Collection will consist of 3 different bottlings ranging in age and price points the first release being the 21 Year Old which will be followed by a 25 Year Old and a 30 Year Old bottling of Irish Single Malt whiskey. Each bottling will have its own unique finishing and marrying methods.
The Silver Reserve 21 Year Old will retail for approximately €150.00 (USD$185.00 / GBP£125.00). The product will be initially only available in Ireland through Dublin Airport, the Celtic Whiskey Store and in quality independent off licences and will then be rolled out to international markets such as the UK, Canada, NZ, Belgium, Germany and France.

| Interesting we rarely see Irish whisky at this age. William do you know if it originated from Cooley, i assume so as you say it was double distilled. |

Grant i asked Jack Teeling where the whiskey originated from but was told due to restrictions in their supply agreements they cant disclose the source.
But i am sure you could hazard a guess at where an Irish single malt double distilled whisky originated from, there are not many options. Cooley distillery was founded in 1987 and producing whiskey less than 2 years later.

Cheers William, I will wait and see what the reviews are like before going for it. I will be flying out from Dublin airport at the end of July, hopefully there will be some reviews by then and hopefully they still have some available by then. |

| It does look like it would have been produced in Cooley. If you do get a bottle Grant let us know what you think. I havent had many older Irish whiskies except a couple of bottles of Midleton Very Rare, the vintages i cant recall at the moment but. |
