I heard from Balvenie that The Balvenie Vintage 2008 has now been released.

Selected by Malt Master David Stewart, together with a team of Balvenie craftsmen for its characteristic rich Balvenie honey notes and fruity, vanilla sweetness. The Balvenie Vintage Cask 1976 is a bottling of two oak casks that had lain undisturbed for over 30 years. There are only 433 bottles, which are expected to be quickly snapped up, don't delay if you fancy a bottle.

Tasting Note:

Nose: Highly aromatic with layers of fruit, oak and spice with violet and vanilla notes.
Taste: Zesty fruit, brambles, rich honey, brown sugar and vanilla.
Finish: Exceptionally long, sweet and warming.
