Alistair here are a few of his related quotes:
"I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me."?
~Winston Churchill
"I drink a great deal. I sleep a little, and I smoke cigar after cigar. That is why I am in two-hundred-percent form."?
~Winston Churchill
"I must point out that my rule of life prescribed as an absolutely sacred rite smoking cigars and also the drinking of alcohol before, after, and if need be during all meals and in the intervals between them."?
-Winston Churchill
He apparently liked Johnnie Walker Black, Mortlach and also " hock", apparently a kind of wine. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

It is said that a bottle of Kings Ransom Scotch Whisky De Luxe Blended stood on the table where Truman, Winston Churchill and Stalin sat at when they signed the Potsdam Treaty. Old rumours say that in every bottle is some whisky that is shipped over the ocean (a tradition in old times when maturing spirits were used as ballast in shipbodys).
Apparently the blended malt Hankey Bannister was a favourite tipple of former Winston Churchill. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |
