I was given a bottle of Macallan whisky. It was distilled in 1980 and the label says 'distilled and bottled for the Nevis Estate at the Macallan Distillery Craigellachie'
It's called Matrons Millenium Malt. The top of the label says 'A little drop of Matron to get you through the next 1000 years. Privately matured in her nether regions of Western Scotland'.
I contacted Macallan to try and get some idea of the value, but the person who replied had no record of it so I don't know whether to hang on to it or drink it.

Hi
I cant say it is one i have heard of but i wouldnt crack it open just yet because if it is a original bottling of Macallan it could be worth a few pounds.
Have you tried contactuing The Whisky Exchange as i know they are always interested in rare whisky and they may be able to tell you more about it.
