Supermarkets can be hit and miss. I agree with Matt, never pay full price in a supermarket - it's likely to be inflated quite a lot. They then have offers which quite often are what the whisky should have been priced at to begin with anyway.
You can check out the flash sales from Master of Malt (now it has a lot of gin but they're normally quite good with whisky offers) or The Whisky Exchange offers if you want to buy something now. |

Having recently been in a couple of Asda shops I think they have rationalised and down graded their spirits aisle. Asda never was an up market spirits seller but I see things like Appleton Rum gone for instance and today that Highland Park 10 in place of the 12. I wonder if these are example of the change of ownership. |

Mackinlay's Shackleton blended malt is £18, that is a decent buy. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |

I must buy a bottle , tried a couple of years ago in the way of a double and thought it was quite nice, £18 sounds a good price |

Can't get it here... it's not in my local Asda. It shows at £18 on the Asda website but entered my postcode and it disappeared. |

I saw a post on Twitter saying Loch Lomond 10 year old is on offer in Asda for £20, which is £15 off. Hopefully they have it at one of my local stores. |
