ASDA's own blend the Tasgall 25yo and 30yo are both down £10 to £40 and £50 respectively. First time I've seen them reduced since they appeared in 2014. Picked up the 25yo today.

Asda still have the Tasgill 25 and 30 year old blends on offer, I still haven't heard much about them so resited once again, anyone tried them and have some thoughts on them?

Quite a few other offers on whisky

Picked up a Talisker 10 year old for £30 which you rarely see on offer these days since they introduced the Talisker NAS range.

Tried the 25yo last week and was impressed. Some thought it had a little sulphur but felt the rubber was on the right side of acceptable. With the £10 off a fair price.

On sorren's tip-off (so all thanks to sorren for this info!) nipped to my local Asda this morning - lots of 'roll backs' as they call them, not least of which the inspiration for my trip...

Tasgall 25 year old at £20
Tasgall 30 year old at £25

The other I particularly spotted was Bowmore 9 Year Old Sherry Cask Matured, as mentioned above, which has now dropped even further to just £15. I was sorely tempted, but I held off for now. Reviews of that seem mixed, but my resolve might not last nonetheless.

Thanks a lot for this, I stocked up with 6 of each as I had tried both of the Tasgall and really enjoyed, also picked up the last 3 bottles of Bowmore for £15 each. 15 bottles £315

Cheers

Could you try doing a 'click and collect' order TheWM? Asda offer that for free and the Tasgalls seem to be at the reduced price online. You order online but get free delivery to a local Asda - not sure if that'd work if they're not reduced in store?

torcross, your trolley must have looked pretty spectacular with that lot, bravo!

Fingers crossed! I did the same, but just to try and make sure they were in stock before I headed out. With the payment being taken online I hope it works for you.
