A bit like the recent tesco bargain, yamazaki distillers edition down to £36 at Sainsbury Longstone in Edinburgh. Usually about £50-55, not a bad dram still three bottles left when I was there after work tonight. |

Looks like they are refreshing their range with slightly different reductions around the country from what I've seen.
Bushmills 10 £25 across them all it seems |

OK so Sainsbury's appear to be changing their whisky range across the country (England) and I think they are clearing out their stock of Glenmorangie Lasanta 12yr Sherry Cask at a reduced price of £33.75 on the shelves... but when you check out you discover it's actually half price: £22.50 to clear!
This offer's been on for a while now and many stores have listed the correct £22.50 pricepoint, so your local might be completely stripped of all bottles, but if you're lucky enough to have a local that still lists it at £33.75, you might find stock still! I would have reported this bargain before but I didn't really believe it was a nationwide thing until I tried it earlier today. Nabbed myself a bottle! |

Alas, no Lasanta at my local Sainsbury's. As an aside, they sure do have a lot of Tamnavulin and Tullibardine. I don't understand who these distilleries think their target market is - Tullibardine especially, because it's normally not that cheap. |

I went looking for the Glenmorangie Lasanta, I had no luck but I did find some Glenmorangie A Midwinter Nights Dram for £22.50, as I had it before and enjoyed it I picked up 3 bottles and left 2 on the shelf. Just old stock reduced to clear I think so I don't know if there will be any in other stores |

Glenmorangie Midwinter also £25 in Chester so potentially a national stock clear.
Also think they are selling off Strathisla 12. |

It looks like Sainsbury's had added Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair to the range in a couple of our local stores priced £32 undiscounted. |

I have it is very light, easy drinking and a little sweet, there is quite a few soft notes in there and it would be a very good bottle for new drinkers to try. You do not get any of a young taste from it so I would guess somewhere between 8-12 year old.
Vanilla
Honey
Caramel
Dried berries
Very slight back notes/taste of salt and smoke |
