I havent had the Sainsburys 12 single malt but i did try the blended malt they used to have and it was very good. I didnt realise they had changed there range, interesting that Jim Murray rates it so high, i will have to make a point to pick some up. Thanks for the heads up Harvey.

I have since picked up a bottle of the Sainsburys 12 year old Islay single malt, it is very Bunnahabhain like, sweet with some peat hints, toffee, liquorice and flowers. Jim Murrays 90 points where perhaps a little high IMO but a very good whisky for the money especially as is only just over £14 at the moment.

Sainsburys have 20% off their own label Scotch single malts at the moment, they are now just £14.69 I have had their 12 year old Islay and 12 year old Highland malt in the past and they are very good for the money so i picked up a bottle of each. Also picked up a bottle of their Speyside 12 year old which i havent had before. They are all bottled for Sainsburys by Ian Macleod distillers.

They have 20% off almost all spirits until the 27th April
Think i will have a couple of Lagavulins as you virtually never see that on offer. |

I will be heading to Sainsburys this evening before their 20% off offer ends tomorrow, hopefully they have plenty of Lagavullin 16 and Glennfiddich 18 left.

Just had a look in Sainsburys online and no offers to be had, everything has reverted back to full price, it was good while it lasted. Pity i was after more Lagavulin.
