Not all whisky needs an age statement.
Another decent No Age Statement whisky and IMO one of the best in Auchentoshans range is the Auchentoshan Three Wood |

Not all whisky needs an age statement but it would be nice to see one. In fact it would be nice to see all relevant info on a bottles such as chill filtered or non chill filtered, age, added colour or no added colour. But that isnt going to happen. |

I doubt some of the popular NAS whiskies we have now would even have existed if they had to put an age statement on them.
Are all the NAS whiskies fairly priced or are some way over priced? Yes probably and that is probably what annoys people more and not the fact that the whisky doesnt carry an age statement. |

There does seem to be a few of these more expensive NAS premium whiskies around now such as Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix, Glenmorangie Signet and Bushmills 400th Anniversary bottling and they are all very good indeed and good examples of the quality of whisky the whisky companies can produce blending older and younger whiskies.
I dont believe all whisky needs to carry an age statement but for some of the NAS whiskies with the premium price tags i do think the whisky companies could be more transparent about what is in the bottle. |

I dont believe all whisky requires an age statement but i do think the price of what is in the bottle should reflect the average age of the whisky which has gone into it |

Hello to everybody!
I think most of the folk took the question wrong way and start to associate age with quality.
Personally I would like that every whisky producer put and age statement on the bottle...it doesn't make any harm anyway and is quite interesting..but,well maybe not from marketing point of view.
I agree that the age don't associate with quality as from my personal experience...for exemple..
I've opened recently a bottle of Clynelish 14yo,and the Glenfiddich18yo batch 3240 and the Glengoyne teapot dram without an age statement and the winner was Glengoyne teapot dram alllllll the waaaayyyyy.
Thanks |

I prefer to know. Even on the occasional bottle of NAS I buy I usually know what the average age is supposed to be, but I prefer it to be more accurate or precise. |
