Yes, on first impressions I would put it behind Talisker, Lagavulin, Dalwhinnie and Cragganmore in that order. (haven't tried Glenkinchie) I do intend to try it again as I said - it's just a pity it never seems to be available on offer anywhere. It doesn't strike me as particularly good value for money, especially considering what great whiskies you can get for a bit less. |

Alex i think Oban is quite a small distillery with a small output so i dont think Diageo push it as much as the other classic malts as they may not be able to meet the demand for it if they did. Just my thoughts on it. Personally i would choose the other classic malts before it with exception to the Glenkinchie which is a pleasant enough whisky but i would cetainly take the Oban before it. |

Probably because you dont see the Bowmore 12 in the supermarkets now it always seems to be the Bowmore Legend on the supermarket shelves now. |

YEP Auchentoshan, Bowmore ,Glen Garioch under £50 staff prices so when having a dram it makes it taste even nicer!
For now i am drinking a nice cold refreshing Cider with ice |
