As much as I enjoyed Aldi Irish 12 yr old and I did as I bought two bottles, the redbreast is a better dram. |

DylanInYork mentioning Wolfburn made me think that the Wolfburn 'Northland' & 'Aurora' are two more great value malts. I live near the distillery and the prices locally are very reasonable for such a great young malt. |
I am jealous, I love there stuff! but saying that I live 5 miles from the Cooper King distillery which is making amazing New make at the moment which is showing great promise for years to come... |

Hadn't heard of the Cooper King Distillery, looks very interesting. One to keep an eye on! |

I'm enjoying this thread greatly, it is nice to get a sense of the "daily" drams out there that I had not heard of or thought of.
For me I would say,
Deanston Kentucky cask (picked this up for £24!)
Old Pulteney 12 yr
Glencadam 10 yr
Laphraoig 10 yr
Talisker 12 yr
Looking forward to seeing more response! |

Bunnahabhain Stiuireadair
Glen Scotia Double Cask |

Seems a good time to bump this thread given the cost of living crisis! I still need my whisky. Anybody got any suggestions for a budget friendly, non chill filtered, daily drinker?
Bunnahabain 12 is currently £32 on Amazon, if you “subscribe & saveâ€. Pretty unbeatable value, surely? Also enjoying Ledaig Rioja cask at the minute. Similar price on Amazon. |

All the Redbreast offerings are fantastic in my humble opinion. Had many bottles and always have some in, as well as Scotch of course. The 12 & 15 are excellent but the 12 cask strength is the best of the lot but at £80+ it’s not cheap. The Lustau was the one that really surprised me as well as it’s one of the cheaper options but I really enjoyed it. |

Have you ever tried anything from the Signatory Un Chillfilterd collection they often offer bottlings around the £40 mark, they are all limited releases though, still good value.
As far as original distillery bottlings that are non chill filtered and a decent price for everyday dramming Distells Scotch whisky brands are worth keeping an eye out for offers, these are Bunnahabhain, Tobermory/Ledaig and Deanston |

Deanston 12 is fantastic value for money.
Brought a bottle of Glenglassaugh Torfa back from & Edinburgh & it was wonderful.
I think it may be a case of buying & drinking the same quality, but just less of it.
So nearly bought a bottle of Kilkerran 12 yesterday, but it’s now £48. Great stuff, but I just can’t afford it at the minute. |

Been trying some James Eadie's. Blair Athol, Glen Lossie, Linkwood, Criagellachi. They are all quite good and all around £40. |
