Has anyone tried any of these Highgrove Gardens releases? What is the deal? Seem like a pretty good bargain...

AFAIK Laphroaig donates a cask of Laphroaig to Highgrove and it is sold for the benefit of the Prince of Wales's Charitable Fund.

I wonder what the Highgrove Organic single cask whisky is, I was only aware of Laphroaig whisky from Highgrove

Seems a really reasonable price for a 12 YO single cask from Laphroaig!

I was also thinking that...what does organic even mean in the whisky context!?

I got one and it was fantastic. It's obviously a different cask to what they're selling now, so could be wildly different, but to me it tastes more like the Laphroaig of old.

Considering the prices official bottles go for, I'd say it's brilliant value, especially knowing the money goes to good causes as well. You can't lost really.

I've had a couple over the years - always been very good.

They are independent official bottlings ie a bit strange, due to a long association between the Prince of Wales and this distillery.

I see they also do an organic single malt from 'Inverness-shire' as stated on the label. Anyone tried that one too?

Tried the 2004/2017 bottle and scored it 90 points, I thought it was very good.
