Hi everyone, I'm new here. I've just ordered a bottle of Ballantines 17 yr. old on the back of Jim Murray's world whisky of the year 2011 award. Is it really that good, can it really be better than all the new single malts out there? I've never really drammed blends, so this should be interesting. _________________ Regards, |

The Ballantines 17 is an excellent dram, i am sure you wont be disappointed. It certainly is up there with some of the top malts but i am never happy saying one drink is way better than another as they are all different. |

Ardcallan, IMO Ballantines 17 really is very good and good value for a 17 year old i would recommend anyone malt whisky drinker to try it. |
