Description: In 1773, the McAfee brothers surveyed a site just north of Frankfort, leaving surveyor's benchmarks as guides for the settlers that followed. The bourbon made at the distillery that originated there sets its own Benchmark by which all others are measured.
Tasting Notes: The colour is ambe. The nose is sweet. caramel and a little fruity. It is medium bodied, and on the palate it is robust and sturdy, with some fine leather notes mingling with dry tobacco, a touch of oak, and a hint of dried cherries. A medium length smooth finish.
