Description: Midleton l973 Master Distiller’s Private Collection is 100% pure pot still whiskey that was laid down for maturation in American barrels and Oloroso sherry butts and finished its maturation in port pipes. This 30 year old whiskey is sold at cask strength; 56% alcohol by volume.
Each individual bottle features hand written cask and bottle numbers and is endorsed by Master Distiller Barry Crockett. This rare whiskey is enclosed in a special limited edition Irish crafted solid mahogany case. No more than 800 bottles of this exclusive Irish whiskey was released.
Tasting Notes: On the nose it is spicy, fruity, honeyed, leathery with sherry notes. The taste has a distinctive and unique character of Old Midleton Pot Still is unmistakable in this exclusive Irish whiskey. Spicy, fruity, honeyed and slightly dry, a sherry nuttiness, vanilla, and pleasant mild woody notes all come together to create this wonderfully full bodied and flavoursome whiskey. The finish is a subtle and intriguing with a sweet wine note evident.
