Description: This bottle of Brechin 1977 is one of only a very small handful of official bottlings from the distillery which was also known as North Port. The other official bottlings where part of the Rare Malt series. Brechin was demolished in the 1990s making this very collectable indeed. Bottlings of Brechin are becoming hard to find, so if you ever wanted to try it dont leave it too long.
Tasting Notes: Gold in colour. On the nose there is butter, cream toffee, apples. Almonds, honey, malty. Some spice too with pine and cinnamon. In the mouth, apples and almonds, clotted caramels with a burnt edge to the flavours. The finish is caramel, fudge and lingering hot spices.
