Description: This Benromach 21 year old whisky was matured in First Fill and Refill Sherry Casks. It is a rich, elegant Speyside malt with a rounding sherry influence.
Tasting Notes: The colour is bright gold. On the nose (undiluted): Sweet, fruits- peaches and nectarines. Hints of toasted malt and a green leafy aroma. On the palate it is sweet with sherrywood flavours. Some charred oak and resinous flavours. Rich.
Nose (with water): Sherry influence more prominent. Mulled fruits and a sweet, chocolate aroma. Toasted maltiness remains. On the palate: Sherrywood, sweet spicies - cinnamon and a little dry grass, hay-like note. Charred oak flavours lead to a drying finish. The finish is slightly dry with sherry overtones.
