Description: This is a very rare distillery bottling of Banff whisky. It is rare because sadly the Banff Distillery was demolished in 1983 and almost the entire whisky inventory of the distillery was sold off, mainly to blenders. Luckily, some of the casks went to the independent bottlers. Which means some lucky whisky connoisseurs will get to experience this soon to be extinct Speyside malt whisky.
Part of Diageo's Rare Malt Series this bottling was distilled in 1982, one year before the distillery was demolished. It was matured for 21 years in a refill American oak cask before being bottled on April 2004. It is one of a limited edition of only 6000 bottles, so once its gone, its gone forever.
