Description: Ardbeg Blasda, one of the most talked about releases of 2008 is finally here. Ardbeg, which is normally one of the peatiest of Islay malts, has produced this delicious limited release lightly peated expression called Blasda.
There is only 8ppm (parts per million phenol) in the bottle which is 1/3 of what is in a standard 10 year old bottle.
Tasting Notes: This lightly peated Blasda reveals the delicious sweetness of sherbet vanilla, chocolate limes and the floral fragrance that is inherent in all expressions of Ardbeg. Delicious and a must try for all Islay malt drinkers.
