    Description:
Jon, Mark and Robbo are mates (two of them brothers), who passionately believe that decent quality whisky should be enjoyed and not worshipped. It all started with Jon and Mark heading out for a post-Christmas walk in 2002. As they wandered up Glen Bruar and the nearby Munro, they started chatting. The chat got more and more animated as the conversation turned to whisky. Both of them loved whisky, but hated all the waffle and reverence that always seemed to get in the way of enjoying a glass. They decided their world needed whiskies that removed all the waffle, tasted amazing and was for them, not some 80 Year Old Laird. There are three choices available for their range. The Smokey Peaty One, The Rich Spicy One and The Smooth Sweeter One. The Smokey Peaty One... Following a few days spent on Islay about 8 years ago, Jon has always been a big fan of Peaty whiskies and was very keen for Robbo to create a new whisky in this distinctive style. Its referred to as a Vatted Malt, as Robbo has used his skill in picking the very best single malts to create the flavour we want, from The Islands of Orkney, Mull and Islay. (This is different to a blend, which is often predominantly grain whisky mixed with a splash of malt). Michael Jackson in Whisky Magazine

Nose: Cedary. Logs on the fire. Embers. Palate: Cedary. Sweet grass. Vegetal. Vanilla Finish: Ginger ale Comment: Good as far as it goes, but pulls its punches. Score: 7/10 Chris Orr Liquid assets 2003. The other 2 are good but this is my favourite, mainly because it has that lovely peaty aroma and flavour to it stonking good value May 2004, Wine International Magazine Dave Broom, Spirits Writer. Colour/nose: Water ignites the smoke. Aromas of beach bonfires, a hint of the sea and the burning heather, but a good walnutty weight. Palate: Its smokey but soft. Malty in the middle with rounded dried fruit and heather blossom. Finish: A fragrant finish. Comment: Not as scarily peaty as you might think. Well balanced. Score: 89 points
