Description: An excellent lighter style of blended whisky from long established (since 1749) London wine merchants Justerini and Brooks.
Tasting Notes: A light, smooth, fragrant style with a lingering heathery sweetness on the palate and a delicate soft finish.
Method of Production: A blend of 42 different whiskies combining light grain whisky and smoother malt. Malt is mostlty from Speyside distilleries Knockando (a high proportion of the blend), Auchroisk, Glen Spey and Strathmill and is mixed then mellow with a further years age in oak casks. Malt and grain whisky are blended and diluted from 61% to 40% abv with de-mineralised water. Colour may be increased by a small addition of caramel before the whisky is filtered into bottle.
