Description: Glen Moray was the first distillery to use wine barrels during the final period of maturation. The Chardonnay barrels used for the Classic impart extra depth to the distinctive peppery edge that characterises Glen Moray.
Tasting Notes: A light, fragrant nose with hints of lemongrass, toasty oak and vanilla is followed by a palate of peardrops, hints of butter and a spicy, peppery finish.
Method of Production: Malted barley was mashed with water to produce a wort that was then distilled twice. The whisky matured in wooden casks, completing its maturation in barrels that had previously held Chardonnay.
