Description: Wholly Smoke is composed of two Islay Malts that occupy the Eastern and Western side of the island. The distinctive characters of both malts have been woven together to produce a Malt that is definitely greater than the sum its parts.
Tasting Notes: Full bodied and very richly flavoured, this malt has deep peaty, smoky and rich floral notes. The oranges remain with hints of dates and liquorice. The finish is long and smoky with espresso coffee flavour.
Method of Production: At full strength, the key aromas are of the sweetest peat interwoven with chocolate, oranges and violets. With water, more peaty notes emerge with iodine, medicinal and linty character.
