Ewan McGregor and Eva Green
have signed bottles of Glengoyne to be auctioned for charity.

Ewan McGregor and
co-star Eva Green signed bottles of
Glengoyne whisky for charity at the
recent wrap party for The Last Word, the
movie they have just completed filming
in Glasgow.
Hosted by Glengoyne Distillery at Govan
Town Hall, Chef Tom Lewis of Monachyle
Mhor, served up fresh fish and chips
from his MHOR fishmongers, along with
deep-fried Mars Bars in a Glengoyne 17
Years Old batter, as an ironic
representation of Scottish food. The two
Glengoyne cocktails, their old favourite
The Kilt Lifter and Glengoyne Royale –
chosen to celebrate Eva Green’s role in
Casino Royale - proved a massive hit
with the film stars and crew.
Playing a chef in The Last Word, Ewan
spent time with Tom in the kitchen at
Monachyle Mhor, sharpening his culinary
skills in preparation for the role.
Naturally, when the talk turned to the
wrap party, Tom Lewis brought in nearby
Glengoyne Distillery. Tom and Glengoyne
work regularly together promoting their
shared passion for promoting Scotland’s
exceptional natural larder and their
‘Real Taste of Malt, Real Taste of Food’
ethos.
Ewan and Eva happily signed special
label 10 and 17 Years Old bottles of
Glengoyne Single Highland Malt Whisky to
be passed on to local Beatson Cancer
Care Centre and the annual Cash for Kids
appeal to auction and raise funds both
charities.
The Last Word is expected to premier at
the 2010 Edinburgh Film Festival in
June.
