I have to admit I haven't tasted all those listed in the poll, although I've heard so many good things about Ardberg I really must try it soon, but the best 10 year old malt I've ever tasted is Edradour. Fabulous dram and very underrated
This is a very old poll which dates back to before Arran had a 10 year old available. William originally posted the poll basically to encourage new members to become active in the forum and get to know other members. I have always been in 2 minds whether to add more whiskies to the poll but decided not to but just left this old poll running.

I went with the Laphroaig, probably my highest turnover malt. When i'm trying to introduce friends to whisky I always have them taste the Laphroaig 10, when someone has not experienced the smoke and peat before its great to see their face! I've noticed that most end up liking it the most, not that I have an extensive collection by any means but I give them a good overview.
When I have a dram of it in the pub people will often ask what that amazing smell is...
I voted for the Balvenie 10 year old but to be honest i would have voted for the Aberlour 10 year old if it had been in the poll. I think the Aberlour 10 year old is an excellent whisky and excellent value for money.
It's just a shame what's happened to the price of late
