Some of you may have noticed that in recent weeks that there has been a lack of whisky news and reviews in the news section of the main site.. Sadly I have had two recent deaths in my close family and most recently my mum who died on the 13th December. I have been organising her funeral and her affairs and with family travelling from around the world and the time of year I had to delay the funeral which wont be until 31st December.
I do have a few news items and reviews to post, which I will try to do between now and the 31st as it should help take my mind off things.
As always I would like to thank all members old and new here at the SMW Forum for your support and contributions to the site over the past year and I hope you have enjoyed your time here over the past year and that the forum has once again lead you to some great whiskies.
I hope you all find a few good malt whiskies in your Christmas stocking and I will see you all back here over the holidays or in the New Year when you can tell us all about them.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year when it comes.

Once again my friend, my sincere condolences for your losses.
William, your site continues to be a beacon of excellence for the many thousands of whisky aficionados, whisky producers and others looking for information and insights into the whisky world. As the captain of this enterprise, you continue to keep the ship steady and right and we appreciate your continued efforts and success in this endeavor.
I also extend Holiday wishes to all members of the Forum, many of whom I have come to know over the years. All the best and enjoy some great drams.
Cheers,

My condolences for your loss William, there is never an easy time loose someone so close. I will certainly raise a glass to you and your family. As far as the site goes this is still the best wee corner of the internet for a whisky enthusiast as far as I am concerned and the work you put in is very much appreciated.
Merry Christmas to you and everyone on the forum and a happy new year when it arrives. |

My condolences once again William, my thoughts are with you during this time and as everyone here knows you do an incredible job and put in a lot of your time year in and year out to give whisky enthusiasts a platform to chat about and hear about whisky.
I hope you enjoy Christmas the best you can and I know you will raise a wee glass to your mum.
Merry Christmas to you and all here on the SMW Forum and Happy New Year when it comes. |
