I am the very proud owner of six antique silver whisky noggins. Why?

In part, because they are a bit of history and pleasing to the eye.

But also because I love the idea of people in times past waking during the night in a freezing croft and having a warming dram on the bedside table.

Anyone else share my love of noggins.

They sound lovely.

Dont have any yet myself but I will for the very same reasons.

My house seems to be full of such stuff just not many whisky related things. Probably spent it on whisky!

Need to find some now. Where yours an heirloom or a purchase?

I recall you mentioned these on here in the past, I had never heard of them either until then, but they are fascinating bit of history. I have never come across one.

I am sure that I first saw them in the original Whisky Galore film.

I got mine in London. A now long gone London jeweller made up the 'set' from disparate pieces.

They came to me in the jeweller's original box from the Fifties. The noggins are all from 1928 and 1934.
