Thought I seen an article saying they were selling it by the dram, but berry bros are Selling it by the bottle? |

The summer 2008 bottling (now sold out at BBR) is distinct from the single cask 68 bottling which is being sold by the dram in whisky bars in Scotland. _________________ Talisker 18 - the rest are just details |

Did anyone manage to get a bottle from Luvians yesterday? I was on the website as soon as it was announced on Twitter, but it was no use!
Any other retailers selling this? Master of Malt/Royal Mile Whiskies etc? |

I ordered a bottle on the BBR website on Tuesday and yesterday I got an email saying they were over subscribed and my order was cancelled.
Not a good way to treat customers BBR. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |

Unacceptable. They have become a lot less customer friendly in their store too. |

Try The Good Spirits Company in Glasgow (was available in the shop today) or Tyndrum Whisky... |

Another flippers bottle, really starting to dislike the immediate association to buy this stuff to sell for profit even my friends who know little about whisky have heard they should buy this to make profit. I'm less interested with each relesse.
Doubt many have tasted Daftmill as most likely bought to flip or invest. I had also read this being only sold in bars so was also surprised to see public sale... it's PR to say only in bars but then fuel the flipping by selling other bottles to market unannounced, creating want and desire for a quick buck.
I'll need to try this for £10. Do we know how many bottles made it to the bar and how many sold at retail? |

There were 1760 total from 6 casks. The bottles sent to the bars are from cask #65, the rest went to retail. So approx 290 bottles across a handful of bars - around 8-10 cases each although i imagine some will have been held back. But you'll be pleased to know I've cracked open a bottle already! |

I read online that BBR were offering folk who had their purchases accepted by their system then cancelled afterwards are being offered the chance to purchase the next Daftmill release in 2020 by being "first in line" as a gesture of goodwill.
I wonder if this was this the case for all folk or just a select few. |

Yes, my email says that but you have to let them know by email or phone and confirm it, as far as I am concerned they can ram it?
I will take my chances somewhere else for another bottle
There are already 7 bottles on Just Whisky auction, how can that be?
The bottle dead line for the latest auction was 30th October, yet the bottle was not on sale until 5th November.
Maybe they were helping out one of their crowd funding customers? _________________ Pour me a glass please. |

I think its a decent gesture, but I can understand why folk who were disappointed wouldn't want to do business with them again.

That is ridiculous! | Totally agree, something smells off here if these dates are correct.
Perhaps Daftmills attempt to foil flippers has backfired and some unscrupulous bar who was supposed to sell the whisky by the dram to ‘genuine whisky lovers’ has entered the bottles into the auction. |

I asked Just whisky a while back if they would take bottles after the deadline for entry and was told as long as they had enough time to process the bottles for the start of an auction they would take them. |
