I’m meeting up with an old friend in Edinburgh next week. Can anyone recommend some top whisky bars to check out please.

Some of the higher end drams are amazing prices and flip to the back of the menu where you can take your pick of some bartender favourites for a very reasonable price.

Whiski, on the Royal Mile
The Whiski Rooms, on the mound, near the Royal Mile
The Kilderkin, on the Royal Mile has good beer, pub food and whisky.
Usquabae, Hope Street
The SMWS on Queen Street you can get access to the members only bar upstairs if you have a meal there.

Most of the pubs will have a good selection of whisky but the ones I have mentioned above offer a particularly good choice.

I dont live in Edinburgh so I am not aware of any new whisky bars worth visiting as I havent been myself for a while but the ones i mentioned are all worth a visit, enjoy your trip.
