|

Ardbeg today unveiled the 19 Year Old Traigh Bhan, matured in American oak & Oloroso sherry casks it is the first new age statement expression to join its core range in 20 years. Described as seductively smooth on the nose, before sudden, intense and rugged flavour notes come to the fore.

For those of you outside the UK who dropped me a line asking if the new Ardbeg Traigh Bhan will be available where they are, I have asked Ardbeg and they tell me that Traigh Bhan will be available in the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Hong Kong, Canada, Sweden, Australia, China, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, USA, Belgium, Dubai, South Korea, Russia, New Zealand & India. And of course the specialist whisky shops listed at the end of the article http://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/ardbeg19yearoldtraighbhan.htm ship to most countries. _________________ There's no bad whisky. The price is no surprise and I am sure there will be plenty willing to pay it especially for this first batch as the whisky is going to carry a batch code. I am a sucker for Ardbeg, I don't like the price but if I don't pay I wont be tasting it, I may wait for some reviews though. |

I like that they have put some sherried whisky into the mix and I would think the whisky speculators will snap this first batch up quickly. |

This sounds very interesting, I'd love to buy a bottle but I'm afraid this is a bit too much for me. One to try in a bar sometime. Thanks for the post! |

It seems to have sold out quickly direct from Ardbeg which is no surprise. I haven't seen it available yet in any of the online whisky shops, perhaps we never will. |

Since "Ardbeg" is the gaelic word for "Ashtray" I will not be falling for any of their marketing attempts. They roll out one or two new gimmicks every year and it's always the same butt-tasting ash-water. |
