Irish Distillers has added a 15 year old expression to their single pot still 'Spot' range, the Red Spot 15 Year Old whiskey is not exactly a new expression but it hasn't been seen since the 1960's. Deliciously rich and complex and if you are able to get hold of this where you are, I am sure you wont be disappointed to find this rich Marsala wine influenced, spicy Irish single pot still in you Christmas stocking.
My thoughts on it here:

Excellent review as always William. I tried it at Whiskey Live Dublin and thought it was very nice, but not worth the premium over Green Spot. |

Quite a jump in price above the Green Spot, it does sound good and I am sure I would like it but I can get the Redbreast 15 or 12 Cask Strength for quite a bit less. |

Yes £102 is a big asking price for a 15 year old, I would assume that there isn't a lot available, hence they will get away with asking this. I just have a soft "spot" for the pot still whiskey and if I can get a hold of a bottle for the Christmas holidays I will pay the asking price. I haven't seen it listed in any online shops yet though. |

This, would love a bottle but can't justify it when you can get a redbreast 12 and 15 for roughly the same money. |
