Here are my own taste notes for Miltonduff 22 Year at 48% ABV in a single hogshead which I had last night..
Color: Lemon gold
Nose: Fruit cocktail, vanilla bean, toasted marshmallows on the camp fire, demerara sugar essence and bulrushes.
Taste: Medium to full-bodied, drying, honey, black tea, sour cherries and cocoa.
Finish: Long, Kalamata black olives with shades of Australian black licorice and crushed sesame seeds.
Comments: A very satisfying whisky from this distillery which was a little lighter than I expected.
Score: 90 _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
