No more for me either. I think that Aberlour has shot itself in the foot with this one.

When I found out about the impending price rise I made sure to pick one up at £49. The new price is just way too high for a NAS considering their pricing of their age stated bottles and the quality of the liquid.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great dram. But £80 good? Not a chance.

Looks like the new Aberlour Casg Annamh bottled at 48% may slot into the old Aberlour a'Bunadh price bracket.

I wont be paying the new inflated price for the Aberlour a'Bunadh, I have a few sherry cask influenced high bottling strength alternatives which I will be perfectly happy with but how long until other brands follow suit with the inflated pricing as there are only a handful of alternatives and Aberlours makers will know this.

Anyway my alternatives to Aberlour a'Bunadh are (note they are not all sherry monsters but all have at least a good helping of sherry cask influence and have been bottled at high strength which adds to the whole taste experience):

Glendronach Cask Strength
Glenfarclas 105
Tamdhu Batch Strength
Glengoyne Cask Strength
Benromach 10 Year Old 100 Proof
Tomatin Cask Strength Edition
Glenlivet Nadurra Oloroso

Can anyone else think of any other alternatives to the overpriced Aberlour a'Bunadh, post them here.

If you're still looking for a bottle(s) at old prices you get them for 44.65 from Amazon Pantry (you need to be a Prime member). Any order subject to 2.99 delivery fee. Have ordered a couple, will let you know which batch number shows up.

Quick heads-up

Booths have this on reduced to clear at £40 so I grabbed a couple of bottles.

For those that don't know, Booths is a supermarket in the North-West and Yorkshire and is known as the Waitrose of the North (but it's better as it's a much smaller chain).
