I got this from Drinks Media Wire website and thought it may interest you here.

The Results Are In For The Best Of Louisville: Maker's Mark Receives First Best Bourbon Distillery to Visit Award. Louisville Magazine recently announced the winners of its 24th annual "Best of Louisville" awards. Each year Louisville Magazine conducts a survey in which readers select the "best of" what Louisville has to offer. For the first time, and by popular demand, this year's survey includes such new categories as "Best Bourbon Distillery to Visit," "Best Chocolate Fix" and "Best Place to Buy a Derby Dress." In all, readers honored 42 recipients and the magazine's editors awarded eight "Critics' Choice" winners with the coveted "Best of Louisville" award. This year's winners include the following:

"Best Bourbon Distillery to Visit" - Maker's Mark
Maker's Mark is one of the Commonwealth of Kentucky's most popular tourist destinations, attracting more than 70,000 visitors each year. The Maker's Mark Distillery was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1980, becoming the first distillery in America to be so recognized, and was decreed as "The oldest operating bourbon distillery in the world" by the Guinness World Records Book. Everyone at Maker's Mark takes pride in the fine, hand-crafted Kentucky bourbon they produce, from accepting a grain delivery to hand dipping the red-wax seal on each bottle - a personal touch is part of every drop of whisky.

I see the Laphroaig live is being broadcast from the Makers Mark distillery this year so we may get a look around it in the broadcast.
