Happy Birthday to the Glen Moray distillery which first produced whisky on this day 120 years ago.

To mark the 120th year Master Distiller, Graham Coull released an outstanding limted release, Glen Moray Mastery and I am sure you will agree that since the French distilling company La Martiniquaise took control of Glen Moray in 2008 the core range available from the distillery has been transformed and offers something for all tastes and pockets.

So why not raise a glass of Glen Moray to toast the Speyside distillery.

Poured myself a glass of the Glen Moray 15, just got this last week for the first time, has a lovely sherried dimension to it.

I haven't got around to trying the Glen Moray 15 or 18 yet but their classic range is ok for the price particularly the Peated and the Port Finish. Would love to try the Mastery

I have just been looking at it, interesting and a very good review from Jim Murray in his Whisky Bible
