Anybody try the Pappy Van Winkle range? Not available here in Canada currently though they had an LCBO lottery for some bottles in 2015. Never heard about it till it was over. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

I've drunk a terrifying amount of the van winkle range. We used to have it as our house pour bourbon at a bar I ran (the 10yro). I even got to spend a bit of time with Perry Van Winkle (Pappy's grandson) and he used to go home for the weekend from college, pick up a couple of cases of whiskey that he'd fill a pigs trough with for parties!
Anyway - it's fantastic. Definitely not worth the premium at auction (as is normal these days) but my favourites were the 10 with the white label, the pappy (20) and the rye. |

Sounds like a great ride!

I was lucky enough to get a twelve year old and the 10 year old very happy with both of them very drinkable
no whisky is worth the silly money that seems to going on at this moment in time
unless somebody wants to buy what I have |
