Best way to ship whisky?

So having sold a few bottles of late and no doubt going to be doing a fair bit more selling and buying from other private sellers I'm wondering what couriers people recommend?

I'm in the UK but a quick look at agregators like parcel2go has whisky on their prohibited list! Even parcelforce wont insure for sending whisky.

Do you just "wing it" hoping the parcel doesnt go missing/get damaged, or am I missing some other cost effective methods of shipping to the UK and EU?
